Endure — Poetry for the Age of Anxiety
Poets, readers of literature and newcomers to poetry.
Endure is a bi-annual poetry publication The name comes from a quote by Irish poet Seamus Heaney who believed that “Poems help us to live. Not only do they help us to enjoy life, but more importantly they help us endure it”. Poetry is still being published in the way it always has been and this was an opportunity to do something more interesting. There is no prescribed format for Endure and each issue will be inspired by the content providing a thematic. Two issues - Women, a digital interactive experience, and Place, a physical printed magazine - have been created. All of the poems are contemporary and the visual outcomes were created with “the age of anxiety” in mind.
