CareFinder - Google Map based medicare hybrid application
To create a hybrid application that can connect users with a medical professional using Google Maps and REST API functionalities
For my 4th year project I designed and developed a hybrid application that allows users to connect with emergency medical professionals using their location on google maps. The purpose of the application was to connect users with a medical professional using their location coordinates in the event of an emergency. The interface had to be simple and accessible for any user - which also meant it had to be easy to navigate and quick to use during emergencies. Constructed using HTML5, CSS, AngularJS and packaged with the Ionic Framework, which acts as a wrapper for web applications to repackage them to appear as mobile applications. Reach uses GPS information to send location coordinates between medical professionals and patients. Information is stored on a MySQL database such as registered patient data, and a log of requests. The application had to be accessible for every kind of user which meant the navigation of the application had to be simplistic and easy to use. Similarly, the doctor’s version of the application had to be simple and quick to navigate to ensure swift and timely responses by the medical professionals.
The aim of the project was to connect users with medical professionals using google map coordinates in any location and connect with them in real time for medical consultations.
