The aim of this project was to create a display mirror using the raspberry pi, which will display items such as weather, a calendar, time and data and the latest news headlines. It will mean the user will be to see the selected items while using the mirror.
This project is of a Pi Mirror which consists of a raspberry pi 3, monitor, two-way acrylic sheeting and wood. The Raspberry pi is programmed to display information and to auto start the information on the monitor. The two way acrylic sheet acts as a mirror when a black background is placed on one side, This allows for the user to be able to seen both themselves and the information displayed whilst looking in the mirror. The wood is used as a frame with rebates placed 10mm from the front on the inner lengths to hold the acrylic sheeting in place.
This could be used by anyone as once programmed it just needs to be turned on and the display will auto start with no need for any manual commands. When researching this device it was found that there are currently no products on the market similar to this that can be bought ready made.
